The Alan Gilbert Learning Commons is a state of the art learning centre at the University of Manchester. The building will be open to students 24/7 and is designed to offer students a comfortable environment for collaborative and individual study.
The furniture was selected by Sheppard Robson and the University’s project team. Broadstock Office Furniture Limited managed the project, installing Hive.two furniture to create study areas across three floors. This innovative furniture system has integral power points for laptop and mobile telephone charging. Hive.one Media units were also included in the scheme to enable students to utilise the integrated flat screen televisions for student presentations, discussion forums and group learning.
